Roasted Pineapple & Mango

Spicy Roasted Pineapple & Mango

serves 4

an open BBQ at low to medium heat or a closed BBQ at a temperature of 200 °C

1 Ananas
1 Mango
1 chilli pepper
sachet of honey


Peel the mango and then cut into medium-thick slices. Remove the pineapple rind, then quarter the pineapple lengthwise and remove the hard core. Cut the quarters into slices.

Cut the chilli pepper in half lengthwise and rub the inside of the pepper over each side of all the pineapple and mango slices several times. Grill each side of the pineapple and mango slices for 2 minutes over a medium heat.

Dress a platter or plate with the slices, garnish with a few finely sliced pieces of chilli pepper and then drizzle with honey


Incredibly delicious with an icy cold scoop of frozen yogurt and finely sliced pieces of mint.
