Roasted cherry tomatoes

Side dish:
serves 4

an open BBQ at low to medium heat or a closed BBQ at a temperature of 200 °C

cherry tomatoes on the vine
sachet of herbs Provencal
sachet of sea salt
dosette olive oil


Leave the tomatoes in the aluminium tray. Drizzle the olive oil over the tomatoes, then sprinkle with sea salt and herbs; the oil will ensure that the salt and herbs stick to the tomatoes.

Place the aluminium tray with the tomatoes on the BBQ grill. Grill/roast these for 10 minutes, until the tomatoes have become slightly more soft. Use a pair of scissors to snip the vine so that there is an equal number of tomatoes on each plate. Serve.


Wonderful with roasted fish or with a mixed salad.
